Modeling Session - in the studio

Studio Fun!

One beautiful model + my "brand new" antique Sofa wallpapering the studio wall with old newspaper = glamourous, edgy session!!

Nikki was working on building her modeling portfolio and I was working with my new Studio light setup. My husband entertained me when I suggested we temporarily plaster our home studio wall with old newspapers, we both loved the way it turned out!

Time to bust out the wedding gowns & formal dresses.... a fun twist from our "Rock the Frock" sessions!

Three times the fun! A little fun with photoshop! ;)
Thanks Nikki, so much fun working with you.

For this session I used:
Nikon D7000
50 mm 1.4
24-70 mm 2.8
Alienbee 1600 + Beauty dish
SB900 & SB700 flashes

Unique Family Session | Urban Love

LOVE the "S" family! They opted for a fun urban "classy rocker" themed family portrait session. Classy, urban and sassy! Loved the colors and textures from these photos.

I can't help but smile every time I get to take this little sweethearts photo! She definetely "out cooled" me with her awesome styling outfit complete with leather jacket, and studded leather boots! Love it!

Mom & Dad look pretty amazing too! ;)

Edgy Wedding Fashion - Bridal Editorial Photographer

:: Rock & Roll Bridal ::
Editorial fashion

Hands down this was my favorite project yet to date, all of the things I love most bottled up into one awesome shoot! Weddings, fashion, makeup, awesome hair, shoes, authentic vintage glam, flowers, and to top it off working with my hubby! ;)

Instead of a traditional wedding boutique photo shoot, we went with a bit more edgy Rock the Frock, vogue, rock n roll feel. I seriously was honored to be a part & loved every second of it! Here are a few of my favorites from the day, enjoy!!

Kasim & Suz - Crazy in love!

Kasim & Suz - Engaged!

Can you say sizzling!?  Wow, these two are not only gorgeous together but were SO much fun to work with. It was an unusual AZ summer night, overcast with some big monsoon clouds rolling in. Yes, bring on the drama, we loved it!

Love is the perfect word to describe these two.

True love always lends a helping hand! ;) They had me laughing so hard, as he effortlessly pulled her up to the top, her reaction was priceless.

Suz decided it was time to pop the big Question... haha... but he made it right!

Congrats you two as you begin a beautiful journey together in marriage. I'm looking forward to capturing your wedding next month!

Rock the Frock - Wedding Dress Session

ROCK the FROCK!
A more classy version of "Trash the Dress"

Want to get get some FUN use out of your beautiful wedding dress again before it's packed away forever? Many brides are now choosing a "Trash the Dress" or "Rock the Frock" photo session as an alternative to paying to have their dress cleaned and packed into a box only to never be used again.

Why not enjoy an amazing photo session showcasing the details of your beautiful wedding dress, bring your hubby or just yourself! :)

I had so much fun working with this beautiful BRIDE, isn't {Mrs. S} stunning!?!?

What would your fantasy session include? Tropical in the dessert? No problem! ;)

Want to get wet & wild in your wedding dress!? Better yet, borrow one from my vintage wedding dress collection to use on your photo session and don't worry about getting yours dirty!
This bride is showcasing one from my collection in the water.

In post processing these images I had the idea to combine my Art & Photography together a fun new style... this water lily paintings is one of my latest pieces and thought it was a perfect fit.

A whimsical touch of playing inside the painting...

Tranquility - New Painting!

{Tranquility}
Lily Pad pond painting

This is a whimsical painting, beautiful texture and my favorite colors! I just realized that almost all my most recent paintings have been done from this combo unintentionally! Gorgeous peacock color tones of teal, aqua, green and blue paired with a creamy white and magenta pink flowers.

This painting was done almost completely with palette knives, it boasts loads of yummy thick texture.  Imagine gazing into a tranquil Koi pond... this is a relaxing yet cheerful painting.

After I finished it I realized it also reminds me slightly of the Princess and the Frog fairytale! It would be gorgeous in your little princess' bedroom or even as a relaxing addition to your home  / office / or spa decor.

Painted on canvas (1/2 inch wrapped edge, sides are painted black) it is ready to hang!
Handpainted by the artist: Heather Hurzeler -- 2011

Available in the SHOP for a great deal!

Thanks for looking!
