Exploring | Washington Forests

:: Moss ::
Green is my favorite color.

It's been just a little over two and a half weeks since we moved to the beautiful NW and this AZ girl is in awe of the beauty here! I am in love and thankful for this change in pace, my heart is overfilled with joy.

We have been exploring parks, beaches and trails... and yesterday on a whim after running some errands we decided to stop by Meadowdale Beach Park on the way home before dinner. This park is just a down the street from our home... the kids were wearing their rain boots (our favorite beach shoes perfect for tide pool exploration) and we had no idea what to expect of this "park".

We started down the 1.25 mile trail through the natural forest down to the beach... my jaw dropped.

Photos can't even capture the beauty of this place. I felt as though I had stepped into an IMAX theater, trees taller than most buildings, the closest I'd ever come to a jungle forest... except it was live, the touch of the moss, the smell of the rain from earlier in the day mixed with the salty air, the sound of birds high overhead. I was overcome with emotions, God's creation is SO good and this place is even more amazing than I could have imagined.

I love exploring with my kids! They are just as excited about this place as I am. :)
Slugs, moss, squishy soft mud under their bare feet and wild berries everywhere... oh happy day!

At the end of our hike down to the beach we found this view... the snow peaked mountains with a man fishing. Made for the perfect photo op! ;)

Hope you enjoyed a little more personal post of our families new adventures here. :)

Love,
:: Heather ::

Seattle Area Wedding Photographers | Our Journey

 :: Our Journey ::

We have arrived!!! We packed up our home, photography gear, the dog, bird, three kids into two vehicles and one uhual trailer... and made the long three day (we stopped alot... haha.. and visited family) 1,500+ mile drive from Queen Creek, Arizona to Edmonds, Washington (25 min north of Seattle)!

This relocation has been many years in the making, lots of patience learned, time spent saving, waiting and praying ... we were so blessed and happy to see how perfectly the pieces fell together. God is GOOD and His hand was in this no doubt, the timing, Eli's UPS job transfer & how He provided the perfect home for us... left us speachless & feeling truly blessed.

Thankful :: is the perfect word to express our feelings right now.
The scenery here is gorgeous, a photographers dream come true. We love the beautiful NW and it's many forests, greenery, the beach, and yes rain too! Can't wait to spend some time in the next couple weeks photographing downtown Seattle as well!

The first week we have been here we were blessed with plenty of sunshine & fun days exploring the beach!

I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things in the next few weeks!

 I will be offering some super great deals to our new WA clients so be sure to spread the word & "like" us on facebook.

I'm looking forward to working with you & making new friendships along the way! :)

:: Motherhood ::

Meet baby Isaac (aka: adorable baby bump) and his beautiful momma Bethany!
Kyle & Bethany are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their son.

We had a blast hanging out with our long time friends in Downtown Mesa for their maternity session.
Looking forward to meeting/photographing this sweet lil guy... due any day now!

Dad is one super talanted musician... so we had to snag a few shots by the music wall!
Congrats to proud parents K&B! We are so happy for you guys and your growing family!

Mark & Sara | 3-18-12 | Wedding Photography

 | Mark & Sara |

Their wedding day was beautiful, dramatic & filled with LOVE!

Venue: Encanterra Golf Club
San Tan Valley, AZ

You know how they say it's lucky to get rain on your wedding day?
We would just have to agree with that! God blessed them with a beautiful double rainbow right before the ceremony was to begin! :)

These are a few of our favorite images and a some custom designed pages from their  |Signature| wedding album. Congrats to the newly weds!!

Blue Steel, Mark & his groomsmen getting ready.

Sara is a stunning bride, one of the most cheerful, happy ever! Her smile on her wedding day was contagious! We did a bridal photo session prior to her wedding day in her mothers wedding dress, you can see her BRIDAL session images here.

And props to Eli for capturing these awesome, fun groomsmen shots with the guys!!

Sara is a lady of many talents, she made... yes made her beautiful wedding cake! And took time to finish up the final touches on her wedding day... effortlessly and relaxed. I think we were all super impressed!

I'm a softy when it comes to beautiful father/daughter dances... had to share this sweet moment, before they took off for their honeymoon in the limo!

As a fun touch for their wedding guests, Mark & Sara added our Photo Booth to their wedding package.
This makes for a entertaining night & a great way to get some FUN pictures of your guests!

Thank You |M & S| for choosing HH Art & Photography to be a part of your special day!

30's | A little about HH

thirty, flirty and thriving...
haha... cheezy l know. ;)

Last week I turned the big 30 and celebrated with some of my closest friends!
 I've been doing some reflecting on my 20's... yikes, that was a crazy, busy and wonderful decade.
Got married, blessed with three healthy & beautiful children, a zoo full of pets, moved 6 times, started two businesses (LuvARoo & Photography), and completely fell in love with photography and of course kept painting (my first love)!

This is going to be a GREAT year, we've got some exciting changes coming up soon... and I can't wait to share more!!

Just wanted to share a little more personal side of me, since I'm usually on the other side of things... behind the camera instead of in front of it. My better half & talented hubby (Eli) took me out for my own mini photo session, we had a blast!

Paint brushes just make me happy, I love art, bold colors, painting... and the beauty of nature!

THIRTY random things about me:

15.) I love body art
16.) I went to college to become an art teacher
17-18.) I'm stuborn & faithful
19-20.) I hate camping but love the woods
21.) I'm a sinner
22.) I have been forgiven. I'm a born again Christian and thankful God chose me to be His child.
23.)  Nothing can make me laugh like Mr. Bean
