:: Moss ::
Green is my favorite color.
It's been just a little over two and a half weeks since we moved to the beautiful NW and this AZ girl is in awe of the beauty here! I am in love and thankful for this change in pace, my heart is overfilled with joy.
We have been exploring parks, beaches and trails... and yesterday on a whim after running some errands we decided to stop by Meadowdale Beach Park on the way home before dinner. This park is just a down the street from our home... the kids were wearing their rain boots (our favorite beach shoes perfect for tide pool exploration) and we had no idea what to expect of this "park".
We started down the 1.25 mile trail through the natural forest down to the beach... my jaw dropped.
Photos can't even capture the beauty of this place. I felt as though I had stepped into an IMAX theater, trees taller than most buildings, the closest I'd ever come to a jungle forest... except it was live, the touch of the moss, the smell of the rain from earlier in the day mixed with the salty air, the sound of birds high overhead. I was overcome with emotions, God's creation is SO good and this place is even more amazing than I could have imagined.
I love exploring with my kids! They are just as excited about this place as I am. :)
Slugs, moss, squishy soft mud under their bare feet and wild berries everywhere... oh happy day!
At the end of our hike down to the beach we found this view... the snow peaked mountains with a man fishing. Made for the perfect photo op! ;)
Hope you enjoyed a little more personal post of our families new adventures here. :)
Love,
:: Heather ::

Beautiful pictures! Wished I was still there to go exploring with you and the kids!
ReplyDeleteSo happy with you, Heather. ;-D Yes! God is a MAGNIFICENT designer, isn't He?! Wow. Great pictures, though I'm sure it is hard to capture the deep grandeur of it all. Thanks for sharing your joy! My heart is singing with you!
